About the project of 2024

Audi Development Camp is yet another example of close professional cooperation between Széchenyi István University and  Audi Hungaria in Győr.

This summer camp provides fully project-based education for Vehicle Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronical Engineering, Software Engineering and Economic students students in their BSc or MSc studies. The official language of the camp is English. Participating students receive full technical training from the mentors.

The date of the camp is 09 August - 15 August 2024. This year, students are expected to provide solutions to real industrial challenges proposed by Audi Hungaria. Participants have to optimize a Battery Electric Vehicle Powertrain including battery, electric motor(s), and gearbox. Students work in teams to develop the powertrain meeting specific customer-relevant aspects, like consumption, range, dynamics (0-100,top speed), also taking ESG consideration. The powertrain that best fits the requirements wins.

Students can apply by 3rd June 2024 by filling in the registration form and paying the €10 registration fee on our Ticket Ninja website (within 24 hour after filling the form). The best students are invited to an online interview, where they can introduce themselves to the mentors and organizers of the Audi Development Camp. Following interviews, the best students are admitted to the Camp. Students need to pay a €200 the programme fee for the 1 week camp which includes accommodation, lectures, lunch during the camp, catering during the closing and opening ceremony, official T-shirt, certificate, mentors, teaching materials, Audi Hungaria factory visit and the ZalaZONE Test track visit. Scholarships are available for the top 10% of students, based on their admission interview performance.

During the one-week summer camp, students work in teams on specific topics. In the beginning they will receive appropriate training from experienced international trainers at Audi Hungaria and Széchenyi István University to help prepare them for the final project.

The winning team of the Audi Development Camp will receive exclusive Audi gifts and experience, as well as the opportunity to establish a career in Audi Hungaria's Vehicle Development Department and related fields.

Széchenyi István University will provide accommodation for the participants of the camp on the campus. In the afternoon, students can network with mentors and participate in team building activities. The goal of the camp is to teach motivated, hard-working and challenge- seeking students how to get the best out of their career.
