Luca Marmorini, one of the world famous engineers formerly behind Ferrari’s Engine Development team will take part in Audi Development Camp, as a mentor of our participants. That means you get as much useful informations from a world-renowned motorsport expert as you dare to ask.   Norbert Gatzka is a legendary engine developer who can design and build a race engine within a workshop for students. Mr. Gatzka can contribute with his outstanding combustion engine expertise to your project and with his help you can massively improve your own skills!

 

 

Experts of Audi Hungaria:

       
   
 Dr. Barna Hanula, the initiator of the Audi Development Camp. He is the dean of the Audi Hungaria Faculty of Vehicle Engineering. He spent his whole life in engine development business. After running his own racing engine business, he joined to the Dr. Schrick GmbH in Germany used to be the head of engine development and the CEO of the company for 22 years.
One of his most challenging projects was a contribution to the development of the Bugatti W16 engine.
   Dr. Daniel Feszty is the Head of Department of Whole Vehicle Development at Széchenyi István University.
He is a researcher on rotary-wing aerodynamics, vibration and noise control, with full-time appointment at Széchenyi University. He has published about 60 scientific papers and has graduated close to 30 MSc and PhD thesis students in the above fields in the past 13 years. He co-founded and served as first Director of one of the largest academic aerospace research centers in Canada. 
   Dr. Jan Knaup is the leader of the department of Internal Combustion Engines and Propulsion Technology. He has worked as a gasoline engine development engineer in Volkswagen AG for 10 years, especially in the field of exhaust emission calibration. Currently he is leading the research activities on the areas of tribology and alternative fuels at the Széchenyi István University.
He is one of the key players of the coordination of the joint research activities of Audi Hungaria and the University!

He was the Software developer and Senior Application Engineer in the IPG Automotive and after that the Head of Profit Center IPG in France. He joined AVL in 2004 in Graz and became the Principal of the Product and Business Development Manager. Today, He is the Business Development Manager at the Powertrain in the IPG Automotive. He has more than 30 peer reviwed papers and 6 times AVL list List GmbH innovation award winner from this 4 times he earned the first place.

 

He works at AVL List Ges.m.b.H. in Graz for more than 34 years, holding a management positions for the last 23 years. He has worked in the field of gas exchange simulation for 30 years including racing applications such as F1, Race Truck, MotoGP, Gran Turismo, Rally, Off-shore Catamaran. Currently he is leading the AVL affiliate in Zalaegerszeg for vehicle durability and ADAS testing close to the new test track ZalaZONE.

 

He joined AVL in 1990 and dedicated most of his career to gas exchange and thermodynamic simulations of a wide variety of engines covering the entire spectrum from small two-stroke engines for motorcycles, over passenger car Diesel and gasoline engines, up to the very large engines for marine applications. He was involved in the development of AVL’s cycle simulation code AVL BOOST and works currently in the layout of combustion engines within the framework of customer as well as research projects aiming at significant fuel consumption reduction.
